A beautiful wakizashi with a delicate, flawless, dainty blade. The koshirae are very beautiful with a rabbit motif…quite a few rabbits! The tsuba is more ‘rustic’ and functional, however. The ridged ‘kizamizaya’ is very eye-catching and 3hat attracted me to this modestly-priced wakizashi. The description suggested light scratching on the blade due to regular drawing from the kizamizaya but I really can’t see it at all, so I’m especially pleased and a sign of Japanese perfectionism!

I am quite pleased with my bokken. The Hokkaido White Oak is of good quality, the craftsmanship is first rate with sharply-carved lines, and the balance in the hand is correct. Recommended.

The set uses high-quality materials and fulfils the requirements for high-quality Blades

I purchased the bag for my Yoshihara tachi. It came fully lined with a heavily padded/soft silk interior, and the exterior was a super heavy silk brocade, that I would describe as a drape weight fabric. The stitching is tight and the craftsmanship is beyond excellent.

I wish Tozondo had a larger range of fabric from their newer line of materiel with the padded lining and silk rope.

When buying items from Japan, in general I notice that on receiving them, they tend to be MUCH better than described. This is no exception and it far surpasses it’s description and photographs; it’s both scary and cute at the same time and in perfect (antique) condition.

The customer service from the staff at Tozando Katana Shop is exemplary (Yusumasa san, I thank you) and my tantō arrived very securely packed with all documents and a lovely little sword bag to compliment the tantō perfectly. In fact my experience has been so positive, I’ve ordered another!
