    • All Iaito swords available from Nishijin Sword is handmade in Japan.

  • How much is the shipping cost to my country?
    • The shipping cost is based on the total weight of a parcel we ship to you and on which region the parcel is delivered to. To view the shipping cost quickly, add your order in the shopping cart and choose which region you would like it shipped to. You can always delete the item in the shopping cart unless you check it out.
  • How do I pay for my order?
    • When checking out the shopping cart, you have three options to choose for the payment; International Postal Money Order, Wire Transfer, Western Union and Paypal.

      INTERNATIONAL POSTAL MONEY ORDER
      The International Postal Money Order can easily be obtained at any local post office. Please purchase the money order with the full amount and send it to the following address:

      WIRE TRANSFER
      Wire Transfer payment is accepted only for an order over $500.00. After checking out the shopping cart, you will be given the 12-digit order reference number, and please include it when remitting to the following account:

      Paypal is probably the easiest way. After checking out the shopping cart, you will be redirected to Paypal page and you can simply follow the instruction. In case you were not redirected to the Paypal page, please log onto https://www.paypal.com and send the full amount to mail@japanesesword.net. For more information, please visit the Paypal site.

      WESTERN UNION
      If you wish to pay by Western Union, please send the full amount to:

      When completing the payment, please email us the MTCN(Money Transfer Control Number) along the the 12-digit order reference number. The payment should be confirmed in three business days.
  • Can I pay by cash?
    • Although we do not much recommend the method, you may send cash for the payment of your order. Please make sure to send it in a registered mail.
  • Is C.O.D.(cash on delivery) available for an international order?
    • Sorry C.O.D. is not available for the international order. It is available only for an order shipped in Japan.
  • How soon do you ship my order?
    • Shinsakuto order: Please allow eight to ten months for the production.
      Antique/vintage sword order: Please allow ten to fourteen days for the de-registration for exporting your sword order.
      Iaito sword order: Please allow four weeks for the production
      Other: Shipped in three to five business days.
  • How long does it take to receive my order?
    • Delivery speed differs from the final destination and each country's import policy. Usually it takes about three days to get to the custom in your country.
  • Can I exchange or get a refund if I am not happy with my order?
    • Shinsakuto sword/antique sword/vintage sword: All sale final. No exchange nor refund is accepted
      Iaito and other order: Please send it back to the following address in seven days after the order receipt IF UNUSED. Any used items cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • I had to pay the import duties to receive my order. What can you do about it?
    • Payment of duties and taxes are required when you make a purchase from another country, thus they are paid by the recipient of the goods."
  • I received my order in damaged condition. What can I do?
    • Please keep it in the original box and report the carrier immediately and inform us at the same time. We will give you the further instruction for you to receive the replacement and/or the repair.
