HIGO MUSASHI IAITO SWORD

This Higo Musashi Iaito Sword is the new superior quality steel-blade sword. With both the legacy of Japanese swordmaking and the practitioner's usability in mind, each sword is specifically handmade under the supervision of Tozando/Nishijin Sword and the technical guidance of the Japanese master sword craftsman in Seki of Gifu.

The blade is made of hard, reinforced carbon steel that is particularly suitable for Japanese sword blade. Each blade is carefully shaped and adjusted by hand and is followed by the multi-step process of hand-polishing. The cutting edge is razor-sharp and both sides of the blade are grooved by hand to reduce the weight and to enhance the air-slashing sound.

Each sword is fitted with the steel Fuchi/Kashira and Tsuba that are reproduced from the original antiques. Black matte and brown matte are available for the Saya lacquer finish. The Tsuka is cotton-wrapped over authentic rayskin.

Weighes approximately 950 gram without the Saya. Please allow six weeks for the production.
