This Higo Musashi Batto Sword is the new superior quality steel-blade sword. With both the legacy of Japanese swordmaking and the practitioner's usability in mind, each sword is specifically handmade under the supervision of Tozando/Nishijin Sword and the technical guidance of the Japanese master sword craftsman in Seki of Gifu.

The blade is made of hard, reinforced carbon steel(T-10) that is particularly suitable for Japanese sword blade. Each blade is carefully shaped and adjusted by hand and is followed by the multi-step process of hand-polishing. The cutting edge is razor-sharp.

Each sword is fitted with the steel Fuchi/Kashira and Tsuba that are reproduced from the original antiques. Black matte and brown matte are available for the Saya lacquer finish. The Tsuka is cotton-wrapped over authentic rayskin.

Weighes approximately 1150 gram without the Saya.
