There is a mokume-like pattern mixed in with the hada of itame. The hamon of suguha with tightened nie is universally beautiful and reminiscent of Koto's work. The condition of preservation is good for its age, and despite the presence of minute flaws, the overall condition is clean. The fuchi-gashira, menuki, tsuba, and kojiri are original, and the fuchi-gashira and kojiri are a set. The tsuba is a sukashi-tsuba with an exquisite pattern.
