Katana - Kunimitsu - NBTHK Certificate - Shirasaya Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinshinto Era

$3,747.60

Kunimitsu was a master swordsmith who lived in present-day Wakayama Prefecture and was a designated smith for the Kishu Tokugawa family. His works with his signature are few in number in existence, but this is due to the request of the Kishu Tokugawa. This sword is one of the few swords with his name, and is a valuable one that has been appraised by NBTHK as a grade of valuable sword. The mokume pattern and universally beautiful suguha pattern are reminiscent of Koto's work. This has been kept in very good condition and has no major flaws or rust. There are traces of rust on the nakago, which was removed in later years. This is a very affordable price for a great sword accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, so please hurry to purchase.
