Return, Refund and Custom Duties Policy

Standard Policy

As a general rule, we do not accept returns or exchanges on Japanese sword orders unless it is damaged upon delivery. If you receive a damaged order, contact its courier in the same condition in which it was packaged for delivery. At the same time, please contact us.

For items other than Japanese swords, we accept returns and exchanges. For those items other than Japanese swords, please contact us within 7 days of delivery to request a return or exchange.

As mentioned earlier, as a general rule, we do not accept returns or exchanges for customer convenience, but if you insist on canceling your order, we will charge you 30% of the purchase price as a restocking fee, and we will refund only 70% of the purchase price after the return is confirmed.

Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of shipping.

To start a return, you can contact us at katana@tozando.co.jp. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Custom Duties

Duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. Therefore, if you are notified to pay them when you receive your goods, follow the instructions to do so.
