TOZANDO KATANA SHOP

Katana - Mumei(No Signature) - Handachi Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era

¥700,000

This sword is equipped with Handachi Koshirae, and the blade is from the early Shinto period. The condition of the sword is a little cloudy surface throughout, although there are no fatal flaws. There are also some minor scratches and dents in places.

Handachi Koshirae is a style of sword mounting that was popular from the late Muromachi period to the early Edo period. It is a unique style that includes elements of both Tachi and Uchikatana. All the metal fittings are original as they were made and are in excellent condition. The delicate workmanship of the metal fittings alone has artistic value. The Habaki is made of very rare iron and has a unique shape. The sword is equipped with four Seppa, in accordance with the Tachi sword's specifications. The Tsuka-ito was recently wrapped, but there is a possibility that it was also used as an iai sword, so some of the threads have been torn off. For an additional fee, it can be rewrapped with a new cord. The scabbard is a beautiful Tsuishu and is in very good condition with minimal damage for its age.

This sword has a very unique exterior, but is also fully functional as an iai sword. This is a great price, so be sure to purchase before it sells out.
