Katana - Tadayoshi - Uchigatana Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinshinto Era
¥400,000
This sword is a typical late Sinshinto piece with a shallow curvature, which was popular at the end of the Edo period. The sword is well preserved with no rust or flaws, but the surface is slightly cloudy due to age. It is equipped with the original metal fittings, but with two additional seppa installed to adjust the tsuba. On the nakago is engraved "Tadayoshi, a resident of Hizen." Looking at this sword, which embodies the swords of the end of the Edo period, when the sword curvature became shallow to ensure that the enemy would be killed by thrusting, one may also feel the spirit of the samurai of the time.
