Tachi - Kanehisa - Shirasaya Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Gendai Era - Gifu 80793

¥600,000 ¥650,000

This is a CHOKUTO (straight sword) created by Gifu swordsmith Kanehisa in 2010, which has no curvature at all. The oldest surviving straight sword is a seven-pointed star sword said to have belonged to "Umayado-no-miko" (Prince Umayado), which was not made as a weapon, but is assumed to have been made to protect the nation and ward off evil spirits. Kanehisa has successfully attempted to recreate this ancient Japanese sword, CHOKUTO.

This katana is extremely well preserved, with no flaws, dents, spills, or rust of any kind. The itame hada is very well packed and chikei can be seen in some places. The hamon is based on the thin suguha hamon typical of old-style katana, with notare and small choji mixed in. In ha, we can see hataraki such as kinsen and aranie. Two hi are engraved in parallel on one side of the kirihadukuri sword blade. 82 cm long, the sword blade is very powerful and has an overwhelming presence just by displaying it. This katana is a wonderful piece well worth adding to your Japanese sword collection.

Whether you are a Japanese sword collector or not, this unique sword has an appeal that will interest everyone. Pieces like this do not come on the market often, so anyone interested in this should buy it right away.
