Tachi - Mumei(No Signature) - Tachi Koshirae - Suriage Nakago - Koto Era - Gifu 12570
An unsigned koto equipped with a powerful tachi koshirae has just arrived.
The blade is relatively well preserved with no chips or dents in the forging, but there are two dots of black rust in the center of the hamon on the haki-omote side and a 6mm black rust near the hamachi on the haki-ura side. The jigane has an active mixture of itame and mokume, showing a beautiful hada like a painting. Yubashiri is clearly visible and brings out the beauty of the sword blade even more. Hamon is notare mixed with gunome with well tightened nie, and sunagashi is also very active. Although the blade is unsigned, it is very tasteful and can be appreciated on its own.
The koshirae is in the traditional tachi style with a beautiful kinnashiji-nuri scabbard. Unfortunately, some of the paint has peeled off on the “ha” side of the scabbard.
All fitting is from the period and is a complete set with no missing pieces. The tsuka is wrapped in golden brown silk in the tsumami-maki style. The tome of the tsukamaki on the haki-ura side is a bit untied.
Why not add this tachi to your collection room, where it will make a statement just by displaying it?
