Wakizashi - Kanekiyo - Tanto Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era - Tottori 12053

This piece is a slightly longer tanto of Hirazukuri and is equipped with a very stylish koshirae. The surface of the sword is a little worn and a little light clouded, but the hada and hamon are visible.

The itame hada is packed and the gunome hamon is a little open and very dynamic. The sword is in good condition with no particular flaws, dents, or chips. The name Kanekiyo is engraved on the Nakago. Kanekiyo is a family of swordsmiths who have been active since the Joji period of the Nanbokucho period and continued through the Muromachi period to the Edo period.

This dagger is thought to be a work from the Shinto period. The koshirae is equipped with metal fittings of the period and kozuka. The hakeme lacquered scabbard has a very high quality finish. The habaki is also of high quality with two pieces. It is not only an introduction to the appreciation of Japanese swords, but is also highly valuable as a collection piece.

If an authentic Japanese sword at an affordable price is what you want, this is a very nice piece.
