TOZANDO KATANA SHOP

Wakizashi - Tsunahiro - NBTHK Hozon Certificate - Uchigatana/Shirasaya Koshirae - Suriage Nakago - Shinto Era - Gunma 55104

¥598,000 ¥650,000

The masterpiece of Ise Daijo Tunahiro is now in stock.

This is equipped with both uchigatana koshirae and shirasaya, so the sword blade can usually be stored in the shirasaya and replaced with the uchigatana when it is time to show it off. The sword blade is in extremely good condition, with no flaws, chips, or rust.

The hada is itame, with jinie throughout, and yubashiri and chikei can be seen. The hamon is a widely spaced, tightly niered midare. Within the ha are active hataraki such as choji. The nakago is engraved with the name Ise Daijo Tsunahiro.

The swordsmith named Tsunahiro has been in the family for generations since the Koto period, and Ise Daijo Tsunahiro is the fifth generation to inherit the name. He is known as one of the finest swordsmiths during the Shinto period in Soshu-den and the best swordsmith in the family. He then received Ise Daijo in 1660, and around 1678 Ise-no-Kami. The world-famous Kotetsu is said to have been his apprentice. The name of Tsunahiro then flourished until the fifteenth generation in the Meiji and Taisho periods.

The equipment of uchigatana koshirae is beautiful. It is made of rare sakuragawa sheath lacquering (lacquering that imitates the bark of cherry trees), lacquered silk tsukamaki, and metal fittings of the time.

An opportunity has finally presented itself where you may own a piece by Tsunahiro, who is considered the most talented of the Soshu-den that produced Masamune. Do not miss this opportunity by any means.
