Katana - Masaaki - Uchigatana Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Gendai Era - Gifu 77834

¥650,000 ¥700,000

This katana is a practical Japanese sword made by Masaaki, a swordsmith living in Gifu Prefecture, for iai and batto. This sword was made in 2006 and kept by Masaaki for a long time, but it was equipped with koshirae this year and is now available for sale, so the person who buys it will be the first owner of this sword. The surface of the sword has an itame hada with a wide gunome hamon. Since it is polished for the batto, it is not mirror-finished but shiratogi, a slightly darkened polishing, and the sharpness is excellent. For the koshirae, tsuba, fuchi-gashira, and menuki are all unified under the theme of a dragonfly, giving it a samurai-like quality and solidity.

For those looking for a Japanese sword as an iai or batto tool, this is a very affordable Japanese sword.
