Here is a Japanese sword engraved with the name of Tadahiro, a leading swordsmith of the Hizen school.
As for the condition of the blade, it is not in good condition with some flaws, rust, and scratches in places, but the surface of the blade has been sharpened and the hada and hamon are well visible. The hada is well packed with itame and is called konuka hada, which is often seen in the works of the Hizen School. Yubashiri and chikei are also common. Hamon is a well-packed suguha that is very elegant. The nakago is engraved with Fujiwara Tadahiro, the recipient of the Omi Daijo who lived in the country of the Hizen.
Tadahiro was the legitimate son of the first Tadayoshi, the founder of the Hizen school, which was also the largest school in the Edo period. He received the title of Omi Daijo in 1641 and made many swords for over 60 years until his death in 1693. He was an outstanding master swordsman who produced many excellent works among the hizen swordsmiths.
Koshirae is equipped with uchigatana and all are modern.
Considering the condition of the sword, we have set the price very competitive, so this is a Japanese sword that can be used practically for batto.
