Tanto - Mumei(No Signature) - Shirasaya Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Koto Era - Tokyo 207989

¥110,000 ¥150,000

Here is a very good value Nihonto dagger.

The sword is in excellent condition with no flaws, rust, chips, or dents. The jigane is itame mixed with mokume and yubashiri is clearly visible. Hamon is a gunome with well attached nie, with some notare mixed in on the sashiura side.

It appears to be a Koto period piece, but there are traces of rust removed from the nakago in later years. Although unsigned, it is of excellent quality and very seriously made.

This piece is recommended not only for those who would like to own a genuine Japanese sword more casually, but also for those who already have a collection of Japanese swords.
