Katana made during Shinshinto era(1772-1876AD)
Shinshinto refers to Japanese swords made between 1772 and the abolition of the katana in 1876. They are also called Fukkoto(revival or reactionary Samurai sword) because they aimed to reproduce the practical katana of the koto period. Katana from this period are characterized by their bold and imposing appearance, and many of them are practical pieces.
