This is a very grand tachi that Kanehisa made in 2016. Kanehisa apprenticed himself to his father Masaaki, a swordsmith, in 1973 and trained to make Japanese swords, but when Masaaki passed away in 1979, Kanehisa apprenticed himself to his uncle, Kanemasa. Since then, he has received numerous awards and is now one of Seki's leading swordsmiths.
This katana has a very beautiful jukachoji hamon on the itame hada, making it a very nice piece for appreciation. It is also quite heavy and can be used for test cutting.
The sword is mounted on a rare nashiji-nuri aikuchi koshirae. If you wish to have a uchigatana koshirae, we can equip it with your desired style of koshirae for an additional fee of 150,000 yen. If you would like that option, please indicate so in the comments section when you check out.
Buy now this low-priced sword blade that can not only be displayed and enjoyed for appreciation, but can actually be used for cutting.
