Katana - Mumei(No signature) - Uchigatana Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinshinto Era - Aichi 69084

¥450,000

This katana has been preserved in very good condition with no flaws or rust on the sword blade. The hada is very well packed itame with beautiful suguha hamon. A wide hi is engraved all the way to the end of the nakago. There are traces of an original inscription on the nakago, but it is difficult to discern the inscription since the hi is engraved over it.

The koshirae is a mixture of parts from various periods, but the tsuka has been rewrapped in recent years. The scabbard has a black matte finish with several areas of flaking paint and cracks.

This is a very nice katana for iai, considering the length of the blade, the width of the gutter, and the tight wrapping of the tsuka.
