TOZANDO KATANA SHOP

Tanto(Yoroidoshi) - No Signature - Shirasaya Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinshinto Era - Tokyo 187277

¥280,000

This piece has a thick tanto with an unokubi shape blade and is what is known as a yoroidoshi. A yoroidoshi is a short sword used to stab an armored opponent through a gap in the armor during a hand-to-hand combat, and the blade is much thicker than a regular tanto.

The preservation and polishing of this sword is extremely good, and the sword is almost intact, and the hataraki such as chikei and sunagashi on the itame no hada is very impressive. The niedeki suguha is very atmospheric. The nakago shows signs of having originally had an inscription, but it is illegible. This is a heavy and powerful dagger.

This is a great quality piece at a great price, and could become a family heirloom. Please make it yours. The early bird gets the worm!
