Wakizashi -Yoshitsuna - Gunto Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era
¥20,000
This sword was made by Yoshitsuna of Soshu in the mid-Edo period. During World War II, this was remounted for military use, so it comes with the Gunto fitting, but the tsuba remains original which was also made in the mid-Edo.
The 53 cm blade is in very good condition, and there are some age patches. Near the habaki, there is a 4 cm long shallow forging flaw. Saya and Tsuka are in sound condition, wrapped with a brown leather. Habaki and seppa conditions are fair and some small patina spots can be seen.
