This piece is a unique Unokubi style wakizashi from the Shinshinto period. It has a very dynamic and powerful tip, but the sword itself is very thin and lightweight. The sword is in good condition with no forging defects, but there are a few rusting spots.
There is a noticeable rust of about 8mm on the ridge of the kissaki. There is also a small rust of about 2mm on the shinogi of the monouchi of the sashiura. There is also some light rust on the munemachi. The entire blade is a little cloudy, but there are no problems with appreciating the hada and hamon. The tsuba is a small scabbard tsuba like those used for tanto. The fuchi kashira and menuki are tasteful, especially the fuchi kashira is fashionable with a wood grain pattern.
The work is treated as wakizashi due to the length of the sword blade, but it is more of a long tanto. Considering the condition of the sword blade, we will set the price very low. The early bird gets the worm, so buy now.
