Kanesaki is a Mino-born swordsmith, the first generation of which appeared in the Muromachi period. After the Edo period, Kanesaki, like other Mino swordsmiths, was invited by local feudal lords and moved to various parts of the country. This sword was made in the Shinto period and has been kept in very good condition. There is no rust or defects. It is a beautiful hamon with fine itame jitetsu lined with small gunome. The curvature is shallow and there is not much difference between motohaba and sakihaba, giving the piece a heavy feel. Equipped with a fashionable uchigatana, this is a beautiful piece that you will want to display in your living room. This is a sword in excellent condition, ready to use for Iai or Batto, and comes with a NBTHK Hozon Token Certificate of Authenticity.
