A large, well-preserved and relatively inexpensive wakizashi made during the Koto period has arrived.

The hada is itame with some mokume mixed in, and shows active yubashiri. Hamon is a Hoso-Suguha with a very beautiful nioideki, specializing in sharpness, but also beauty. Boshi is returned to omaru. The name Fujimitsu is engraved on the nakago.

The habaki is double-layered with copper and brass and is engraved with a motif of ocean waves, making the habaki alone of great artistic value.

The wakizashi is relatively long, so it would look great equipped with an uchigatana koshirae for the katana. If that option is what you desire, contact us after you place your order and we will send you a catalog of koshirae.

This is the perfect wakizashi for those who want to own a Japanese sword at an affordable price. Feel the spirit of the Samurai close at hand.
