Katana - Masaya - Uchigatana Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Gendai Era - Gifu 81422

¥600,000 ¥650,000

This katana is made in 2011 by Masaya, a Gifu swordsmith, and is a high-end iaido or nukata sword made specifically for iaido or batto.

It has been in his keeping since it was made and this is the first time it has been offered on the market. The blade is very clean and in excellent preservation, and is brand new. The hada is itame and shows some hataraki such as chikei.

The hamon is based on notare, with active ko-gunome and choji, and fukuro choji can also be seen. In ha, aranie and kinsen can also be clearly seen, and the entire sword blade is very beautiful.

The koshirae are decorated with modern metal fittings, which serve to further enhance the beauty of the sword blade. The tsuka cord is made of black cotton and is wrapped in a hinerimaki style. The saya is lacquered in a never-ending kuro-ishime.

This is the perfect piece for anyone looking for a practical yet beautiful new Japanese sword.
