Wakizashi - Mumei(No Signature) - Uchigatana Koshirae - Suriage Nakago - Shinto Era - Tokyo 226252
A large wakizashi has arrived in very good condition with very good preservation and equipped with a beautiful koshirae.
The sword is free of any flaws, rust, or chips, and is very sound and sharpened throughout. The jitetsu shows iteme mixed with mokume and some active chikei. Hamon is very elegant with nie-rich suguha and omaru-style boshi in the kissaki section. Nakago is suriage and has two mekugi holes. The scabbard is much longer than the blade, so we can assume that this blade was originally the size of a katana.
The fittings on the koshirae equipment are of the period and are uniformly equipped with fuchikashira, koiguchi, kurigata, and kojiri made of bare copper. The scabbard is kizami style, with a dark vermilion stone finish that gives it a very luxurious look. The tsuka is wrapped with a black silk tsukaito in the tsumamimaki style.
We are offering this wakizashi in excellent condition at a very affordable price, so please add it to your collection now.
