Ippei aims to create a masterpiece of Soshu-den like Masamune, and this work is also a bright Nie Soshuden piece, which is typical of him. When he created this work, he himself hoped that the audience would be at peace with the work, and this characteristic is expressed beautifully. A vivid image of Notare hamon with Niedeki is brought to life in the well-packed Itame hada. Boshi is returned to omaru. Various hataraki can be seen in the ha.

Ippei Kawachi's Profile

Ippei Kawachi was born in Nara, Japan in 1973 as the eldest son of an Mukansa swordsmith, Kunihira Kawachi. At first, he did not want to follow in his father's footsteps and spent some time wandering abroad and working as a company employee in Tokyo. However, one day he was invited to a solo exhibition by Miyairi Kozaemon Yukihira and was so impressed that he became his apprentice in 2002. Since his debut, he has received numerous awards and is now one of the most promising swordsmiths in Japan, and is expected to lead the Japanese sword industry in the future as the executive director of the All Japan Swordsmiths Association.
