This work is a new type of katana, not of the common Japanese sword shinogizukuri structure, but of his own invention.  Its form is reminiscent of shobu-zukuri. It is extremely large in both length and width, and is a form overflowing with power. The hada has an extremely small itame pattern, and its beauty has a sense of transparency, as if peering into the depths of a clear lake. The hamon is a rhythmic and flexible wave shape that matches well with this particular katana. This is a masterpiece full of class and supremacy.

Miyairi Kozaemon Yukihira

He was the son of the late Miyairi Yukihira, a living national treasure, and from a young age, the swords he made had an unrivaled dignity and style. His talent has influenced many modern swordsmiths, and he is truly one of the most prestigious names in modern Japanese swordsmithing. In addition to making swords, he is also active in training swordsmiths and craftsmen as president of the All Japan Swordsmith Association. Takakura Ken(Black Rain), one of Japan's most famous Japanese actors, is also a proud owner of one of his swords, and he has adopted as his personal motto, "No matter what hardships I may face, I will persevere in my pursuit of enlightenment and training, and never regret my actions. He strives daily to make not only his work but also his own life beautiful.
