¥1,800,000

This piece is a Tokubetsu Hozon-authenticated katana equipped with a magnificent and prestigious tachi koshirae.

The sword is in an extremely good state of preservation, with almost no defects. The jitetsu is very beautiful with well-packed koitame. The hamon is a wide gunome with well-packed nie. In Ha, hataraki such as aranyi and ashi can be seen, and the overall appearance is very bright.

The names Sagami no Kami Kunimasa are engraved on the nakago. Sagami No Kami Kunimasa was a swordsmith active in Settsu, Osaka during the Kanbun period of the Edo era, initially calling himself Yoshishige. He was active during the same period as Kotetsu, a leading Kanbun-Shinto swordsmith, and was a pupil of the second Tamba no Kami Yoshimichi. He produced many Waza-mono works and many katanas that were both sharp and beautiful.

In August 2024, the Society for Preservation of Japanese Art Swords granted Tokubetsu Hozon certification to this work as highly worthy of special preservation for future generations, and issued a certificate of authenticity.

Koshirae is also equipped with high-end tachi style equipment, which serves to further enhance the excellence of Kunimasa's work.

This is truly a rare and highly sought-after katana from the Kanbun period of Shinto. Here is your chance to own this Kunimasa katana and its tachi koshirae, which has so much to offer that it could become a family heirloom. Never miss out on this opportunity.
