O-Tanto - Mumei(No Signature) - Tanto Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era - Gifu 27464
A well-preserved O-Tanto from the Shintō period, likely made during the mid-to-late Edo period, has arrived.
The blade is fully polished throughout and is a sound piece with almost no flaws. The jigane features a well-kneaded ko-itame grain, with distinct hamon patterns like chikei and yubashiri clearly visible. The hamon features a flowing pattern with occasional gunome, accompanied by deep nie.
The koshirae consists of a shirasaya scabbard in excellent condition. Offered at a reasonable price, this is an ideal o-tanto for those wishing to begin studying Japanese swords.
