Tanto - Mumei(No Signature) - Aikuchi Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era - Tokyo 309034

¥210,000 ¥240,000

We are pleased to present a rare dagger with the Sanskrit characters of Fudo Myo-o engraved on the blade and amber parts on the koshirae.

The sword is extremely well preserved, with no flaws, chips, rust, or other defects. Overall, it is well polished and very sound. The jigane is well tempered itame. Hamon has very fine kogunome burnished on the suguha, and is slightly pointed and nakamaru shaped at the boshi.

The koshirae is aikuchi style, and the tsuka is dashizame (bare sharkskin) with a cow menuki. For a tanto, it is quite thick and powerful, reminiscent of yoroshidoshi. The fuchikashira, koiguchi and kojiri are made of amber. There are some chips on each of them due to age. The scabbard is decorated with the family crest of Mitsuba Aoi, which is associated with the Tokugawa family.

We are offering this rare piece at a very reasonable price so that you can easily feel the samurai spirit. It is also an ideal gift for those who love the samurai culture.
