Wakizashi - Yoshimasa - AJSA Certificate - Shirasaya Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Gendai Era
This piece, a collaboration between Yoshimasa and his master Matsuba Kunimasa, is an authentic wakizashi with a slightly shorter blade. The size of this wakizashi was made with the idea that it would be carried by a samurai in a set of dai-sho. It is made with a balanced loose and steep burnishing of small and medium waves of hamon on a grained hada, which is his master's specialty. In the ha, stunning gunomes and choji make their presence felt.
