Tanto(Yoroidoshi) - Mumei(No Signature) - Tanto Koshirae - Ubu Nakago - Shinto Era - Ibaraki 46529

¥210,000 ¥240,000

This tanto is a heavy dagger that can be called a yoroidoshi with a thickness of nearly 9 mm.

Yoroidoshi, meaning “to pierce even through armor,” refers to a short dagger used to aim and stab through gaps in armor when fighting an armored opponent in an intertwined fight. As a result, the blade is much thicker than that of a regular dagger.

The overall condition of the sword blade is old polishing, but it is in excellent condition with no flaws and only minute rusting. Jigane is itame with some mokume mixed in, and overall jinie can be seen, plus you can also enjoy hataraki, which is chikei and yubashiri. Hamon is a calm suguha.

Koshirae has the entire tsuka japan-lacquered and fitted with a gourd menuki, a motif of good fortune. The saya has a powerful black tataki-lacquering, embodying the temperament of an Edo period samurai.

We are offering this Yoroidoshi tanto for sale at a special price. Don't miss it for sure.
